Tennessee football added a massive commitment to its 2024 class Saturday, earning a commitment from 4-star running back Peyton Lewis out of Virginia.

Lewis had his choice from plenty of top-tier programs across the country. He chose the Vols over Georgia, Alabama, Penn State and South Carolina, to name a few.

Lewis is Tennessee’s first RB commitment in the Class of 2024 and comes at the start of a huge recruiting weekend on Rocky Top.

Lewis is lightning fast, standing at 6-1, 190 pounds. He is a 2-sport athlete at Salem high school and a 2-time state champion in the 55-meter sprint.

He’s a strong prospect, too. Lewis is rated as the No. 163 overall prospect, 11 overall RB and No. 3 player from the state of Virginia according to 247Sports. He has another official visit scheduled to Knoxville for June 23.
