Has Tennessee found another underrated gem at receiver? Ironically enough, the Volunteer coaching staff may soon be replacing one previously unknown prospect for another.

The Vols were the first to discover Georgia receiver Jordan Young a few weeks ago and following his official trip to Tennessee, the Peach State prospect commit to playing for Jeremy Pruitt’s UT program. Since that time, however, Ohio State and Florida State have begun recruiting Young and a weekend trip to Tallahassee appears to have hurt Tennessee’s chances of signing him on National Signing Day.

Young came out Sunday and declared he would make a final decision on his future Wednesday. A few hours later, a new offer was sent out by the Tennessee coaching staff to Las Vegas receiver Cedric Tillman.

A product of national high school powerhouse Bishop Gorman, Tillman — much like Young — is a late bloomer that exploded his senior season and now has an offer to play on Rocky Top. Tennessee could be looking to add both players to the roster but it’s interesting that Tillman got his offer following the Young news.

Before landing an offer from Tennessee, Tillman held offers from Hawaii, UNLV and Weber State. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound prospect certainly looks the part of an SEC receiver. To get an idea of his potential, here’s highlight footage of his senior season at Bishop Gorman:
