The Nico Iamaleava era is here, Tennessee fans.
The former 5-star prospect has been a smooth operator throughout the Vols’ start to the Citrus Bowl against No. 17 Iowa. Some penalties and receiver errors kept the Vols from moving the chains on offense early, but it didn’t take long for the true freshman QB to find the end zone.
And Iamaleava did it with his legs, rushing the rock into the end zone from 18 yards out to give the Vols a 7-0 lead at the start of the 2nd quarter. Check it out below:

Tennessee fans immediately took to social media to voice their excitement for Iamaleava, whose start has been highly-anticipated since it was announced that Joe Milton will be moving on to the NFL Draft.
And with how the former 5-star prospect has looked thus far against a strong Iowa defense, it’s hard to blame those in Knoxville for this reaction.

Nico is a smooth operator. That’s the best description I can give him. The dude just glides around.
