Vanderbilt football isn’t exactly known for its high attendance numbers.

Tennessee football, however, is. The Vols pulled off a coordinated movement to ‘checker’ Neyland Stadium for Tennessee’s 38-33 win over Florida Saturday. See the finished product below:

Now, a group of Vols fans want to do it again for Tennessee’s game against Vanderbilt. But not at Neyland Stadium – in Nashville on Nov. 26.

Here’s a link to Tennessee fans early iterations of the plans. FirstBank Stadium seats around 40,000 fans, Vanderbilt’s average attendance so far this season is hovering around 22,000. By the end of the season, that number will likely falter.

The Vols are experiencing their best start to a season since 2016. Tennessee is 4-0 and the No. 8 ranked team in the country with a pair of ranked wins over Pitt and Florida. Vanderbilt, despite a hot start to the season against Hawai’i and Elon, has cooled down and now sits at 3-2 on the year.

Is this plan from Tennessee fans possible?
