Tennessee football announces 2023 season ticket sales soar past target goal

Tennessee football is ready to ride a wave of momentum into the 2023 season after a strong campaign in Josh Heupel’s second season with the program.
After an 11-2 record and an Orange Bowl win, the Vols wrapped up last season with a top-10 finish on the AP Poll. Volunteer fans are also responding to the results with a high volume of purchases for season tickets.
According to the university, the Vols have sold just over 70,000 season tickets for the season. That includes nearly 9,000 new tickets and an impressive 96% renewal rate.
That current number also comes in just shy of 10,000 tickets sold over the target goal of 61,000. And as a result, less than 300 season tickets remain.

“In an era of stadium downsizing, Vol Nation continues to send a strong message that its passion is unrivaled with over 70,000 season tickets sold and still five months until kickoff,” said Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Danny White via press release. “We envisioned that goal by year five when we launched Rise Glorious, but Vol Nation’s unwavering support and the excitement surrounding the program allowed us to eclipse that benchmark in year one. We are ecstatic to be on the cusp of selling out our season ticket inventory!”
Last season, Tennessee went 7-0 inside Neyland Stadium, including rivalry wins over Florida and Alabama. We’ll see if the Vols can replicate that type of success during 2023.
