Tennessee football equipment truck involved in accident on trip home from Oklahoma
Tennessee proved to to be one of the best teams in the country on Saturday when the Volunteers marched into Norman and left with a convincing 25-15 win on the road.
But while the Vols thrived on the road, one of the team’s equipment trucks had a scary situation take place on the drive back to Knoxville.
James Bryant of KATV in Arkansas reported the Tennessee equipment truck was in an accident on I-40 East in North Little Rock. From the photo posted on social media it appears as if the truck’s right tire is completely off.

I assume they were on the way from Norman to Knoxville after the game last night.

According to the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT), the accident occurred at 7:34 a.m. ET near mile marker 153.4 near the I-30/I-40 interchange. It caused all traffic to be diverted onto I-30 West.
There were no injuries in relation to the accident, a Tennessee spokesperson told Mike Wilson of the Knoxville News Sentinel.
The Tennessee Volunteers don’t play again until Oct. 5 when they travel to Arkansas.
You should see what the Oklahoma truck looks like!
Lolol
I’m seeing a 5% equipment tax and a 5% conference ranked road win tax from Danny White on Monday
Look if all the people in Arkansas-where the wreck happened-will just pay $100/month, then we can get that truck fixed up and rolling like The Bandit and Snowman!
Hunt Your Check!
I’d like to know the circumstances, can’t see anyone challenging the UT Tractor/Trailer. Hope really hope, it wasn’t driver error on UT’s Part. If you are really qualified, a blown tire shouldn’t result in a wreck. And I’m just guessing at the cause. But, if you blow a tire, Be calm, hold a firm steering wheel and ease to a stop. NO overreaction! Also hope distracted driving wasn’t the culprit, as it is so often now.
I’m sure this will be a future meme
The Razorbacks are already trying to sabotage the game…
Is not that the same bend in the road where Petrino dumped his bike with a special rider on the back? It’s a special place. :)
