Tennessee is in the market for a transfer defensive lineman, and it could get its wish soon.

On Sunday, Texas State transfer DL Davon Sears Jr. announced he had narrowed his list down to 3 schools, and the Vols were one of them.

As you can see below, Sears is considering transferring to Tennessee, Oklahoma and Penn State for the 2023 season:

Sears will have 2 years of college eligibility remaining for whatever school he chooses. In 2022, he appeared in 12 games for the Bobcats, recording 15 tackles (3.5 for a loss), 1 sack and 2 pass breakups.

Where he ends up next remains to be seen, but he’d be a welcome addition to the Vols’ defensive line next fall.
