Tennessee insider on John Currie: 'I don't see how he can bounce back from this'
The Tennessee coaching search has gotten out of hand in recent days, reaching a fever pitch when fans protested the near hire of Ohio State DC Greg Schiano.
Now, the Vols need to find a backup plan, but it won’t be easy. AD John Currie has dug himself a huge hole in this search and may end up losing his job because of it.
On “The Paul Finebaum Show” on Monday, reporter John Adams of the Knoxville News Sentinel said he thinks Currie’s tenure as the Vols’ athletic director won’t last much longer:
"I basically think that John Currie is done at Tennessee as Athletic Director. I don't see how he can bounce back from this" – @johnadamskns pic.twitter.com/utN2PJHB42

There hasn’t been much coming out of Knoxville so far on Monday, but the strongest rumors of the day seem to involve former Tennessee QB and current USC offensive coordinator Tee Martin returning to lead his alma mater.
The Vols need some good news and need it quickly. If Currie can’t provide that good news, the school may find someone else who can.
