Tennessee is still on a high after knocking off Alabama 2 weeks ago. That win has the Volunteers in control of their own destiny when it comes to SEC championship talk and the College Football Playoff rankings.
Not only has that win helped them on the field, but it has helped out coach Josh Heupel and the team on the recruiting trail as well.
On Tuesday morning, the Volunteers received a commitment from 4-star wide receiver Tyreek King.

King is a significant get for the Volunteers, as they are able to keep a big-time talent from leaving the state. He attends high school at Knoxville Catholic. Tennessee had to beat out other teams such as Alabama, LSU and Michigan among others. At 5-10, 165 pounds, King has a very similar to build to current Tennessee wide receiver Squirrel White.
King is currently ranked the No. 120 prospect in the 2026 class according to the 247sports Composite Rankings. He is also the No. 17 receiver in the class and the 3rd best player from the state of Tennessee.
The Volunteers are currently the No. 7 class in 2026. Tennessee currently holds a verbal pledge from the No. 1 player in the class, quarterback Faizon Brandon.
Tennessee will look to continue the success on the field when the Volunteers host Kentucky on Saturday.
