Tennessee lands commitment from 2024 in-state DL
Tennessee has added to its 2024 recruiting class. On Saturday, the Vols landed a commitment from in-state prospect Carson Gentle.
Gentle is out of the McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. On his commitment graphic, Gentle describes himself as a 6-4, 245-pound edge defender. He’s listed as a 6-3, 241-pound defensive lineman on his 247Sports recruiting profile.

At this stage of his recruitment, Gentle has picked up 7 scholarship offers. He committed to the Vols over offers from Kentucky, Ole Miss, Harvard, Stanford and others. Gentle is rated the No. 7 player in Tennessee, No. 34 defensive lineman and No. 413 prospect overall in 2024 on the 247Sports Composite.
