Tennessee earned the commitment of an intriguing prospect on Thursday afternoon. 2021 Georgia ATH Christian Charles announced on Twitter that he’s committing to the Vols.

“Thankful for EVERY single person that helped guide me through this Journey!!!!” Charles said in the post.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Charles is currently utilized as a wildcat quarterback and at many other positions.

Charles explained that Tennessee lauded him for his versatility.

“I talk to Coach (Jeremy) Pruitt and Coach (Derrick) Ansley all the time. They tell me that I have a pretty elite skillset with what I bring to the table,” Charles said to Sports Illustrated.

Prior to committing to Tennessee, Charles described what would go into his decision making process.

“I get that question all the time, and it is a simple answer for me,” Charles said to Sports Illustrated. “I want to go to a school where I get the best education, and then I want to go to a school where I am put in the right opportunity to play at the highest level.”

The Vols now have 26 players in their 2021 recruiting class, which currently ranks No. 8 in the nation and No. 4 in the SEC, per 247Sports.
