Heard is an early evaluation by the Tennessee coaching staff. He doesn’t have other major offers, but he offers elite physical tools and upside at the next level.
Heard lists himself at 6-foot-9, 280 pounds. That would put him amongst the tallest defensive linemen in the country. He attends Model High School in Rome, Georgia.
He’s currently ranked as the No. 96 defensive lineman in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 95 player from the state of Georgia in this class.
Tennessee now has 10 commitments in the class of 2024. Overall, the Vols class ranks No. 8 nationally according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
