Charlie Browder will play for Josh Heupel and Alex Golesh after all.

After one season at UCF, Browder is headed to Rocky Top. He committed to Heupel’s Tennessee program on Monday. Browder tweeted a graphic showing photos from his childhood in Volunteers gear.

Out of high school, Browder was a 3-star prospect, rated the No. 49 North Carolina recruit and and No. 61 tight end in the class of 2021 on the 247Sports Composite. Browder picked up 16 scholarship offers, signing with Central Florida on Dec. 16, 2020.

Heupel was named Tennessee’s head coach on Jan. 27, 2021. Golesh, who was Browder’s primary UCF recruiter, followed Heupel to Tennessee as offensive coordinator and tight ends coach.

Browder’s UCF bio shows he participated in 4 games, which allows him to take a redshirt for the 2021 season.
