Things are getting interesting in Knoxville as we inch closer to National Signing Day.

An argument could be made that no SEC school needs cornerbacks as badly as Tennessee does right now. Considering Tennessee has no 2018 prospects signed or committed at the position as of this weekend, the opportunity at immediate playing time is available. So is the chance to be coached by one of the best DB coaches in America in Jeremy Pruitt, who has coached national champion DBs at both Alabama and Florida State.

While Tennessee already had an impressive list of official visitors scheduled to land on Rocky Top this weekend, the Vols pulled a late surprise and got the nation’s No. 2 cornerback to come up from Florida for a visit.

Five-star Tyson Campbell, rated as the nation’s No. 12 overall prospect by 247Sports Composite Rankings, has touched ground in Knoxville. Long considered a lock to Georgia or Miami, the South Florida native has now taken advantage of offers to visit Alabama and Tennessee in recent weeks.
