Tennessee gained some big-time momentum on the recruiting trail in December, particularly during the Early Signing Period (Dec. 19-21). So far, that momentum hasn’t carried over into January.

Dodge City Community College LB Lakia Henry, the No. 1 JUCO linebacker in the class of 2019, announced Saturday that he is backing off his pledge to the Volunteers. The 6-foot, 225-pounder is expected to land at either Florida State or Arkansas.

FSU extended an offer to the Vidalia, Ga. native on Dec. 15 during an unofficial visit to Tallahassee. He took an official visit to Arkansas on Nov. 10. Henry is a 4-star recruit on the 247Sports Composite.

Even without Henry, Tennessee’s class is still ranked No. 6 in the SEC on the Composite. The Vols have 21 commits on board, including 19 signees.
