Tennessee defensive lineman Da’Jon Terry has entered the transfer portal, according to a report.
That’s per On3’s Matt Zenitz, who notes that Terry has made a big impact at Tennessee during his time with the Vols. He recorded 6 tackles for loss and 3 sacks over the past 2 seasons.

Tennessee sportsbooks are live in the Volunteer state since November 1, 2020. Tennessee was the first SEC state to legalize sports betting.

Terry began his career at Kansas and spent 2 seasons with the Jayhawks prior to transferring to Tennessee ahead of the 2021 season.
Last season, Terry recorded 16 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks while contributing on Tennessee’s defensive line. His 2 sacks came in victories over Florida and Kentucky last season.
He was expected to have a similar role on Tennessee’s defensive front in 2023. Instead, he will enter the transfer portal for a second time.
Terry is presumably entering the portal as a graduate transfer, which means he can maintain eligibility despite entering the portal outside of the NCAA’s designated windows.

Yup, sounds like a big impact Spenser, as opposed to 5 tackles and 2 sacks, that certainly sounds big…
Agree. Great guy and worked hard and made some plays but to me the speed at which the D has had to play he wasn’t a fan of. 35 tackles in two years isn’t a lot. At UGA, I hate to say it but may have only seen the field a couple of times.
gwhite…Most Vol defense players are not fans of playing mega-minutes every game. The big guys wear out quickly and since Heup has zero understanding of the word defense you’ll not evet have enough depth to take care of all those minutes played by your defense.
If he is big and powerful. Georgia could use such a man!!!!!

Why is he transferring? 35 tackles, six tackles for loss and three sacks for the Vols the last two seasons. We’re looking for more and with what we’re getting and could potentially get, it just has to be more. Wish him all the luck in the world but as far as a key piece or game changer, we’re just lookin more and I’m sure he is too. Also, the speed on D that is required isn’t for everyone.
Sorry to see him go but the DL is one of the few places we have depth.
Rumor is his mother is sick, and he needs to transfer to be near her. Shame.
Sorry to hear that, where is home for him?
I Wish the kid well…
He’s from Eastern Mississippi. So i would think he’d be going over that way
