Tennessee remains a strong contender to land 4-star athlete Marcus Goree.

Goree announced his final 5 programs on Thursday morning, and the Vols are the only remaining SEC team to make the cut. He’s also still considering Colorado, Nebraska, Michigan and Michigan State.

Here’s his announcement:

Goree is from Cleveland, Tennessee. He attends Bradley Central High School and is listed at 6-foot-1, 170 pounds. Although he’s listed as an athlete, his primary recruiter with the Vols is cornerbacks coach Willie Martinez.

Goree would be a big addition for Tennessee’s 2024 recruiting class. He currently ranks as the No. 456 overall player and the No. 62 athlete in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 10 player from the state of Tennessee.

In addition to his final 5, he has received offers from programs like Auburn, Virginia Tech and Memphis, amongst others.

Tennessee currently has 3 commitments in the class of 2024. The group ranks No. 18 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
