Tennessee football has a 14-point lead over South Carolina after a huge pick 6 late in the first half.

After a strong showing from Tennessee’s defense on what would likely be South Carolina’s final drive of the half, the Vols’ defensive line brought the pressure and forced Spencer Rattler to throw a bad pass. The pass went straight into the hands of Kamal Hadden, who had nobody between him and the endzone.

The pick 6 was Tennessee’s first defensive touchdown in 2 seasons.

The interception gave Tennessee a 24-10 lead with less than a minute to go in the first half and delivered a blow to Rattler and South Carolina’s confidence. South Carolina couldn’t bounce back from the interception on the next drive as the Gamecocks were forced to punt it away.

And things don’t get better for South Carolina, as the Vols get the ball out of halftime.
