Tennessee’s current hot streak in recruiting continues as one of the top receiver prospects in the nation has just pledged his commitment to Jeremy Pruitt and the Volunteers during a commitment ceremony at Marietta High School on Wednesday.

Four-star Marietta, Ga., native Ramel Keyton just committed to Tennessee over Auburn, giving the Vols commit No. 7 for the 2019 recruiting class. The Peach State native also holds offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Clemson, Ohio State, and Oregon among many others. According to 247Sports Composite Rankings, Keyton is the No. 188 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 31 receiver in the 2019 recruiting cycle.

The 6-foot-3, 186-pound Keyton is the first receiver to pledge his commitment to Tennessee’s class, however, the Vols do currently hold commits from tight ends Jackson Lowe and Sean Brown. Ironically enough, Tennessee’s three most recent commits, Keyton, offensive lineman Wanya Morris, and Brown, all selected the Vols over Auburn.

The efforts of Pruitt’s staff in Georgia are clearly paying off for the Vols as four of Tennessee’s seven commitments for 2019 hail from the Peach State.

The Vols appear to be getting an accomplished receiver here in Keyton, as he’s registered 2,641 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns during his previous two high school seasons. Not only has Keyton shown his ability to consistently produce on the field, he’s displayed incredible physicality from his receiver position.
