Tennessee reaches into Virginia for its latest football commitment

Tennessee landed its fourth commitment for the class of 2021 Sunday night.

Three-star athlete Nate Evans (Virginia Beach, Va.) committed to the Vols over offers from several programs, including FSU, Baylor, South Carolina and Kentucky, among others. The 6-1, 175-pounder is listed as an athlete, but he’s being recruited to UT as a cornerback, as 6-1 is ideal size.

Evans received an offer from Tennessee over the summer when he visited a prospect camp. He joins cornerback Jay Jones as a fellow Tennessee defensive back commit for the 2021 recruiting class.

Evans is ranked as the nation’s No. 67 overall athlete and the state of Virginia’s No. 21 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. He shared his commitment via Twitter:
