Tennessee reveals uniform combination for rivalry clash with Alabama

Tennessee is looking to getting back to playing the football we saw early in the year when the Volunteers host Alabama in 1 of the biggest games of the year in the SEC.
The Volunteers lost 2 weeks ago at Arkansas, and then followed that up with a lackluster performance in last weekend’s overtime victory against the Florida Gators.
With the game just 2 days away, the Volunteers social media team posted what their jerseys will be in the game this weekend. Though Neyland Stadium is having an “Orange Out,” UT is sticking with the classic white pants to go with the traditional home orange jersey and white helmets.

The rivalry is called The Third Saturday in October, and that hasn’t been a good thing for the Volunteers in recent history. Alabama has won 16 of the last 17 matchups in this series, including a 34-20 win last season. The only win for Tennessee during this timeframe was the 52-49 thrilling win 2 seasons ago.
This is obviously a rivalry, but it is a huge game in terms of where both of these teams go moving forward. They both were surprisingly upset 2 weeks ago, as the Crimson Tide were upset by Vanderbilt the same week Tennessee lost to Arkansas.
Tennessee still has a game at Georgia, while the Crimson Tide play Missouri and go to LSU in their next 2 games after Tennessee. The winner of this game is truly right there to be a team in the College Football Playoff, while the loser finds themselves in a much more difficult situation.
Fans are excited about the jersey selection for sure, but it won’t matter if the Volunteers don’t get the win on Saturday.
