Tennessee currently has one of the nation’s top classes for the 2018 recruiting cycle but the Vols 2019 class just took a hit as in-state athlete Adonis Otey has announced his decommitment from the program. Despite his decommitment, Otay’s interest in Tennessee remains high, as he lists them as one of his ‘top schools in the future.’

Rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports Composite Ratings, Otay is ranked as the No. 20 cornerback in the nation and Tennessee’s No. 14 overall recruit for 2019. The Murfreesboro native currently holds offers from Florida, Ole Miss, Kentucky, LSU and Louisville among others.

Otay released a statement Monday via Twitter announcing his decommitment:

Following this news, Tennessee is down to two solid 2019 commits and one ‘soft’ commit from receiver TJ Sheffield. Despite the few commits in the class, it still ranks among the best in the SEC for 2019.
