With Tennessee struggling under Butch Jones this season, many of the team’s 2018 commitments have either completely backed off their pledges or are fully exploring their options elsewhere at other schools. Now that news of Jones being fired by the school has become public, one commitment has decided to go public with his break from the Volunteer program.

Florida receiver Shocky Jacques-Louis has earned the distinguished honor of being the first 2018 prospect to decommit from Tennessee in the post-Jones era.

It’s been no secret that Jacques-Louis’ commitment was anything close to firm in recent weeks, as the three-star prospect has been visiting campuses for weeks now looking for a landing spot. Whether he would have wound up in Knoxville or not, we’ll never know but it’s quite clear that’s not going to be happening now.
