Tennessee LB Aaron Beasley is facing allegations of animal abuse after an incident involving another student’s cat.

The 6-month-old kitten in the alleged incident has reportedly suffered brain damage and severe trauma. The incident is being investigated by Knoxville police, but no charges have been filed yet.

On Monday night, it was reported that the Vols had suspended Beasley from all team activities indefinitely:

“We have received the incident report from the Knoxville Police Department,” a statement from the school reads. “Aaron Beasley has been suspended indefinitely from all football team activities as we await further information.”

In 2 years with the Vols, Beasley has recorded 9 tackles and half a sack. He also forced a fumble.
