Drew Pember has found his new team.

The Tennessee transfer forward announced his commitment to UNC Asheville on Wednesday via his Twitter account.

The Knoxville native spent two seasons with the Vols. As a freshman, he played in 22 games of UT’s 2019-20 campaign, averaging 1.3 points and 1.0 rebounds per game. As a sophomore, however, he appeared in just 10 games (7 SEC games), recording only 28 minutes of action.

A product of Bearden High School, Pember was rated as the state’s No. 7 overall prospect in the 2019 recruiting cycle.  Grant Ramey of 247Sports notes that Pember’s former Bearden teammate Trent Stephney plays for UNC Asheville.

Pember entered the transfer portal on March 25.
