Harrison Bailey time? Mistakes from QBs are killing Tennessee in ugly first half against Kentucky
If you just look at the score of the Tennessee-Kentucky game at the halftime break, you’d never know the Volunteers are outplaying the Wildcats in many aspects of the game.
Well, outside of the most important position on the field and the key stat that defines games.
Jarrett Guarantano has thrown a pair of pick six interceptions during the first half, which led to his benching. JT Shrout came in and immediately threw a pick, leading to a Kentucky field goal.
Outside of those plays, Kentucky hasn’t accomplished much in this one.
Kentucky has 70 total yards of offense, is 1 of 6 on third down and has surrendered 195 yards of total offense, including 112 rushing yards.
Tennessee has four turnovers in the first half of the game.
After Kentucky jumped out to a 17-0 lead, Tennessee marched down the field to score just before the break.
The big story at halftime has been the ugly offense on display inside Neyland Stadium, as Kentucky leads 17-7 at the break.

Interesting note to remember with Harrison Bailey is both the new redshirt rule AND pandemic eligibility. No reason not to see what’s he got. Unless I’m missing something?
Shrout and Mauer have never shown me anything that says they are better than JG.
Guess we’ll find out.

Harrison Bailey needs to play, he won’t burn his RS with the new rules so WHY NOT PLAY HIM.
