Tennessee’s alternate black uniforms made quite the splash during the week when they were announced. The Volunteers are wearing the new threads against the visiting South Carolina Gamecocks.

Conversely, Vols fans lashed out at Kentucky after the Wildcats announced their uniforms.

The black uniforms have a clean look with the orange numbers, and the alternate white helmet looks nice. The Vols last wore black uniforms on October 31, 2009 against South Carolina, too.

Once players finally took the field, more reactions poured in, and they were quite mixed. On one hand, fans love the uniforms.

Other fans, however, can’t stand them.
