On Tuesday morning, it was announced that former Mizzou player and Tennessee assistant coach Kim English had been hired as the head coach at George Mason.

English was heavily involved in the recruitment of 5-star 2021 PG Kennedy Chandler, who is signed to play for the Vols next season.

So, when he posted a tweet on Tuesday night with a note attached, Tennessee fans can’t be blamed if they panicked a bit. But, as you can see below, Chandler simply wanted to wish English the best at George Mason. Then, he reaffirmed his commitment to Tennessee:

That’s great news for the Vols, as Chandler is the top-rated player in their incoming recruiting class.

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Chandler is the No. 2 point guard in the 2021 class and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Kansas.
