Rick Barnes is back in Austin, though this time he is on the opposing sideline while facing the Longhorns.

Barnes will lead Tennessee against Texas in the Big 12/SEC Challenge after previously spending 17 seasons with the Longhorns. From 1998-2015, Barnes led Texas to 16 NCAA Tournament appearances and the 2003 Final Four. He is the program’s all-time leader in wins (402) and Tournament appearances.

Prior to Saturday’s tip-off, Texas revealed a great tribute video for Barnes:

Fortunately for the Volunteers, Barnes was quick to land in Knoxville after his time at Texas ended. He took over for Tennessee prior to the 2015-16 season.

Since then, Barnes has led the Vols to 137 total wins, 3 NCAA Tournament wins, and one regular-season SEC Championship. This season, Barnes has Tennessee up to No. 18 on the AP Poll and looking for another trip to March Madness.
