Tim Banks knows that his Tennessee defense will have its hands full against visiting Texas A&M this weekend. However, the defensive coordinator is preparing the Vols for the challenge ahead.
No. 19 Tennessee (4-1, 1-1) is coming off a bye week after defeating South Carolina 41-20. Meanwhile, Texas A&M (4-2, 2-1) lost to Alabama 26-20 last weekend.
Banks speaks highly of Texas A&M quarterback Max Johnson, who’s supplanting the injured Conner Weigman. Johnson has passed for 675 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions this season.

Banks believes the secondary is up for the task against a talented group of Texas A&M skill players. The Aggies have scored at least 33 points in 4 games this season.
#Vols DC Tim Banks on his secondary preparing for Texas A&M's skill position players: It's going to be a tremendous matchup. I feel really good about where our secondary is headed and they have tremendous skill. We'll have to play at a high level to have success.

Banks points out that the negatives are more emphasized than positives when it comes to defensive backs, which is why having the right attitude is crucial.
