Tim Tebow played at Neyland Stadium during his career and understands how loud it can be.

Tebow talked about the venue with SEC Nation in town on Friday. One of the loudest moments of his life was at Neyland Stadium during his freshman year with the game on the line.

Tebow said that Carson Beck will have to experience that alone on Saturday.

“One of the loudest moments of my life was my freshman year on 4th and 1 here when the game was on the line,” said Tebow. “I still remember thinking, ‘How could something be that loud?’ That’s also something that Carson has to experience tomorrow. Not saying that it’s gonna be all the difference, but it better make a difference.”

Tebow spoke on The Paul Finebaum Show about how the fans need to give Tennessee an extra edge. However, his X-factor for the Vols was the defensive line.

“It needs to start with the fans showing up and creating a little home-field advantage and then I really believe that the next thing that needs to happen is this offense and defensive line for Tennessee has to show up,” said Tebow. “The defensive line has to be an X-factor, they have to put pressure on Carson Beck.”

Tebow further mentioned how Beck had no pressure in Athens against Ole Miss in the last game. He called on the defensive line to have one of its better games of the season.

“Last week, Carson had zero pressure, he was in the pocket for days, and he’s going through his reads so well, he’s so accurate,” said Tebow. “So this defensive line for Tennessee, which has played really well at times, has to have maybe their best performance of the entire season”

On the offensive side, one key was the offensive line’s ability to sustain a running game. Tebow noted how everything Tennessee tries to do comes from the ability to run the ball.

“And I think at offensive line, you’ve got to be able to sustain a running game, or at least get it going at times,” said Tebow. “Because this offense, people think it’s a high-flying offense, no it starts with the running game. That creates everything from it. So, the fans need to show up, and so do the big boys.”

Kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
