Velus Jones, former Tennessee WR, records a pair of firsts in his NFL career
Velus Jones won’t forget Chicago’s game against Minnesota on Sunday.
Early in the 3rd quarter, the former Tennessee standout caught his first career NFL pass for the Bears and it went for a 9-yard touchdown.

Jones was drafted by Chicago in the 3rd round of the 2022 NFL Draft with the 71st overall pick. He has also been returning punts and kicks during his rookie season with the Bears.
Jones played for the Vols for 2 seasons after transferring from USC.
During the 2021 season, he caught 62 passes for 807 yards and 7 TDs for Tennessee.
Jones and Chicago currently trail Minnesota 21-19 early in the 4th quarter.
