All Pat Summitt did during her legendary career as Tennessee’s women’s basketball coach was win 1,098 games and eight national championships, so it’s understandable she would be forgotten in the annals of history.

Just kidding.

The Volunteer great passed away in 2016, but left behind a lasting legacy both on and off the court that will be remembered for a long time to come.

However, on Tuesday’s episode of Jeopardy!, the three contestants were stumped by an easy question about the iconic coach:

In the Double Jeopardy round, the players combined to answer every question in the baseball category correctly, so it’s not like they didn’t know anything about sports.

Unfortunately for them (and for the Tennessee fans who were probably screaming at their televisions), they couldn’t come up with the correct response.

  • Of course Pat Summit was a legend in womens basketball. But I do not follow womens basketball at all. In fact I couldn’t tell you the name of even 1 current womens bb coach.
So no disrespect to Coach Summit, but I can believe that the odds of assembling three people who know nothing about lady vol basketball probably aren’t that high… And surely not embarrassing for them either. Maybe show producers failed to mention womens basketball questions would be among the categories.
