While Kahlil McKenzie continues to rehab after suffering a torn pectoral muscle last October against Alabama, judging by a recent Instagram post, the injury has not prevented the Tennessee junior defensive lineman from working on his lower body this offseason.

Recently ranked as one of the Top 150 returning college players in the nation by NFL.com, McKenzie is still seeking his first injury free season on Rocky Top. Under the guidance of new strength and conditioning coach Rock Gullickson, it looks like the huge lineman has been taking well to the new his new weight room mentor. If he can live up to his five-star hype and stay on the field for the entire season, it’s not out of the question that McKenzie develops into Tennessee’s best defensive lineman in 2017.

In the video below, McKenzie – listed at a healthy 6-foot-3, 325-pounds – shows off his impressive lower body explosion.

If McKenzie rebounds from his injury and takes the field at 100 percent this season, SEC offensive linemen are going to need some good fortune to stop him from invading their backfields.
