Carnival-like pageantry is firmly embedded within the fabric of college football.

Not only do the crowds resemble that of a sea of colors, but the uniforms each team wears has (in recent years) become a very big talking point. Oregon is famous for this — unveiling virtually a new uniform combination for every single game.

Other programs have attempted to copy this premise (although with a bit less frequency). For those teams featuring on national television, it provides the stage for showcasing some fascinating and unique uniforms.

Virginia Tech is taking this to heart — as it unveiled a special alternate uniform for its ‘Battle of Bristol’ game against Tennessee.

The game will be taking place at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sep. 10. A crowd of over 150,000 fans are slated to be in attendance — which would be the biggest crowd for a college football game in history.

Currently on an unofficial visit to Blacksburg, 247sports 4-star recruit Devon Hunter  tweeted a short video of himself wearing the alternate uniform.

Suffice it to say, but those in Hokie Nation have to be excited at the look of these new threads.
