When a big guy scores a touchdown, it’s one of the best plays in football, especially since plays like that are incredibly rare.
Even more rare is when they happen from 63 yards away, as was the case for Tennessee DL commit Elijah Simmons over the weekend.
As you can see in the second play of the video below, a teammate tips a pass that lands in Simmons’s arms and then the race is on. The 3-star 2019 commit shows power and surprising speed while rumbling to pay dirt:
According to the 247Sports composite, Simmons is the No. 47 defensive tackle in the class of 2019 and the No. 24 overall recruit from the state of Tennessee.
However, after a play like that, perhaps he’ll rise in the rankings just a bit.
