WATCH: Ashton Hagans slaps the floor, promptly gets burned by Jordan Bone for easy bucket

When teams need to shift momentum in games, they’ll sometimes slap the floor on defense to try to inject some energy in themselves and their teammates.

However, Kentucky freshman PG Ashton Hagans learned the hard way on Saturday that, when you slap the floor, you’d best not get burned by the guy you’re guarding.

As you can see below, that’s exactly what happened to Hagans. He slaps the floor and then gets beaten by Tennessee PG Jordan Bone for an easy layup:

The Vols went on to cruise to victory, getting revenge for an earlier loss in Lexington. The Vols won in Knoxville 71-52.

Bone was magnificent in the game, scoring a game-high 27 points and dishing out three assists. Hagans only had five points and three assists.
