It’s been a long time since Jalen Hurd saw the field in a college football game. Following his time of reflection and sitting out due to NCAA transfer issues, he appears poised to return to the field for Baylor next season.

When he walked away from the Tennessee program midseason back during the 2016 season, it sent shockwaves throughout the SEC. He was close to becoming Tennessee’s all-time leading rusher, which would have been a remarkable accomplishment considering the history of the program. Instead, he left in disgrace following a devastating upset against South Carolina.

While that decision may be tough to ever overcome for the Volunteer State native, he seems at peace at his position at Baylor.

Hurd’s recent comments regarding the coaching staff at Baylor suggest, like others have before him, that Butch Jones wasn’t very honest with his Tennessee players. He also explained his much-discussed move to receiver for Baylor.
