WATCH: Paul Finebaum grills Butch Jones on coach’s ‘fake news’ comments live on SEC Nation
Several members of the media have come out and questioned Tennessee coach Butch Jones following his press conference rant regarding the “fake news” element covering his football program. If you missed that episode of the soap opera that Tennessee football has become, you can find it here.
Saturday, College GameDay host Rece Davis called out Jones for the rant, but he wasn’t the only ESPN anchor to do so leading up to Tennessee’s game against Georgia.
SEC Network host Paul Finebaum also challenged the Vol coach to explain himself. Give credit to Finebaum for doing so to Jones’ face live on SEC Nation from Knoxville, as many hosts may not have been so bold to try that.
Here’s the exchange the two had Saturday morning on live TV. Finebaum did not let Jones off the hook so easy either, challenging the Tennessee coach more than once in this clip:
