Back when Tennessee coach Rick Barnes was thinking about taking the UCLA job, local Knoxville restaurants sprung into action.

From burgers to cinnamon rolls and everything in between, Barnes was offered free food for life from a number of local eateries.

On Saturday, he took the businesses up on that offer. As you can see below, he went on a “Thank You Tour,” visiting the restaurants and thanking them for their generosity (and sampling some food along the way):

Even though Barnes isn’t going to pig out on the free food every day, it’s clear he appreciated the offers and was eager to thank everyone in person.

He’s locked in to a new contract in Knoxville, so Vol Nation will be excited to see what the future holds for Barnes.
