Jarrett Guarantano did his part to give Tennessee an early lead against No. 11 Kentucky.

The redshirt sophomore quarterback dropped a dime to Jordan Murphy to set up a chip-shot Volunteers field goal for the first points of Saturday’s game. AtoZSports Nashville tweeted a video of Guarantano’s beautiful 38-yard, over-the-shoulder pass, which you can view below.

So far, Guarantano is 2 for 4 for 46 yards against the Wildcats’ stifling defense. Tennessee’s field goal has been the only score of the game, which is still in the early stages of the second quarter.

Guarantano may need to throw a few more passes like that if the Volunteers want to pull off a home upset and take a huge step toward bowl eligibility.
