Bolt came in third, behind Volunteer Christian Coleman, 21, who won the 100-meter semifinal earlier in the day.

The trio raced to a photo finish, and all three thought they had won. Gatlin’s 9.92 winning time edged Coleman (9.94) and Bolt (9.95), giving Bolt a third-place finish in his final solo race.
