Now that spring practices are underway, Tennessee fans are getting their first look at new coach Jeremy Pruitt in action.

Fortunately for Vol Nation, they have VFL Films providing them with footage of the action as the Vols try to rebound from a year in which they went 0-8 in the SEC.

As you can see in the video below, shared by @Vol_Football on Twitter, Tennessee has a lot of new energy under Pruitt and his staff and are working hard this spring:

“We have to learn how to practice,” Pruitt said. “We have to learn how to strain. We have to learn how to compete. And we have to learn how to do it over and over and over again.”

Pruitt went on to say his job is all about motivation and getting his team to work hard on every single down.

“To me, coaching’s about motivating people, and there’s different ways to motivate young men,” Pruitt said. “You’ve got to figure out a way how to get the most out of them. Everybody wants to have success, but everybody don’t want to do it all the time.

“One thing that has nothing to do with ability is what kind of effort you play with. Are you relentless? Do you never quit? Do you play smart? Do you attack the football? Do you secure the football?”

Will Pruitt’s energy translate to wins on the field? It’ll have to, or he’ll face some serious questions in his first year at the helm of the program.
