What Admiral Schofield said about Ole Miss fans throwing trash on court after losing to Tennessee
Tennessee went on the road and got a much-needed win Wednesday night against Ole Miss — a team that has been playing rather well lately.
The Vols win, however, came in controversial fashion as Tennessee’s Admiral Schofield took a charge on the Rebels’ last possession of the game. Ole Miss head coach Kermit Davis lost his mind over the call, too.
Schofield made a split decision on the charge call, and he was rewarded for his instincts. However, he knows that that call can go either way.
#Vols’ Admiral Schofield on winning game by drawing charge from 30 feet with 1.1 seconds left: I knew it was a charge, but you never know if you’re gonna get the call. Either way, I just promised Coach Barnes I’d never try that again.

Following the controversial foul call, Ole Miss fans threw trash on the court, and Schofield had some rather frank comments about it.
Admiral Schofield on Ole Miss fans throwing things on the court:
"I have never had cups thrown at me, but I expect it here in Mississippi. I know last year I was called the governor, so I guess they didn't like me being the governor anymore. It sucks."

#Vols’ Admiral Schofield: I don’t think I’ve ever had a cup thrown at me — not just in basketball, but, like, in life. That was something else.

With the win over Ole Miss, Tennessee stayed tied with Kentucky and LSU atop the SEC standings with three games remaining. It’s going to be a fun finish.
