Look away, Texas fans.
Former Texas wide receiver Brenen Thompson announced Monday that he will be transferring from Austin to Oklahoma to play the 2023/24 season. He’s the first Texas-to-Oklahoma transfer in over 3 decades.
Thompson played his freshman season at Texas after being recruited out of high school as a 4-star prospect. Thompson was the No. 131 overall player in the nation and committed to Texas over Oklahoma State and Texas A&M.

Thompson totaled just 1 reception for 32 yards during his freshman season, though he appeared in 9 games working mostly special teams.
Thompson is the 2nd wide receiver addition for Oklahoma in the portal this offseason, joining former Michigan wideout Andrel Anthony.
