Ja’Lynn Polk had a little good fortune on his side as his 29-yard touchdown catch saw Washington take a 21-14 lead over Texas with less than 90 seconds remaining in the 1st half of the Sugar Bowl.

Polk was under pressure from Texas DB on his way to the end zone as Michael Penix Jr. threw his way, with Muhammad getting slight contact on the ball. But Polk ultimately tipped it to himself and took it in for the score.

Here’s a look at the play that gave the Huskies the lead:

It’s been a big night for Polk, who earlier hauled in a 77-yard catch — the 2nd-longest in a College Football Playoff game. His 2 grabs have gone for a total of 106 yards. As for Penix, he’s been his usual self, going 11 of 14 for 255 yards.
