Lee Corso reveals prediction for top-10 Texas-Michigan showdown in Ann Arbor
Lee Corso says he’s taking the Longhorns on the road.
Kirk Herbstreit shared his pre-College GameDay conversation with Corso Saturday morning on X. GameDay is in Ann Arbor for the top-10 showdown between No. 3 Texas and No. 10. Herbstreit got Corso to reveal his big pick early.
“Texas is going to win. I’m picking Texas,” Corso said.
Herbstreit was reminded that Corso picked Texas as his national champion for the season. While Corso thinks that no team will make it out of the regular season unscathed, he is going with the Longhorns to pick up a key nonconference win on the road en route to the College Football Playoff.
“The difference will be Texas’ speed,” Corso added.
At FanDuel Sportsbook, Texas is a 6.5-point road favorite. The game’s total has an over/under of 41.5 points combined. Corso likes Michigan and under to cover, predicting a final score of 17-14.
Corso also offered Michigan’s Sherrone Moore some advice. The former coach said if he were in the Wolverines’ situation, he would take a “boring” approach of “ball control” to keep Quinn Ewers and company on the sidelines.
Widely considered a preseason Heisman Trophy candidate, Ewers was 20-of-27 in Week 1 against Colorado State for 260 yards with 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. Ryan Wingo was Texas’ leading receiver in the blowout win with 4 catches for 70 yards. Isaiah Bond led in catches with 5 for 61 yards. Matthew Golden led in receiving TDs with 2 scores on 3 catches for 50 yards.
