Paul Finebaum, like the rest of the country, is impressed with what he’s seen from No. 1 Texas so far this season. The Longhorns took down No. 18 Oklahoma 34-3 in the Red River Rivalry on Saturday afternoon to stay unbeaten.

Texas is clearly the top team in the SEC as things stand right now. But who is the biggest challenger to the Longhorns?

During his Sunday morning appearance on SportsCenter on ESPN, Finebaum said he still sees Georgia as the Longhorns’ biggest threat, both in the SEC and on the national level.

Fortunately for us fans, the Bulldogs visit Austin this coming Saturday:

“Georgia has not looked good, but remember what we saw yesterday, perhaps a look-ahead to the weekend in Austin,” Finebaum said. “Carson Beck is playing well. There are some elements of Georgia’s team that are not. But they will be a formidable foe for Texas, who has seen some good teams, but they haven’t seen anyone quite like the Dawgs.”

Georgia struggled its way to a 41-31 home win over a bad Mississippi State team on Saturday afternoon. We’ll see if the Dawgs can look a little more like the juggernauts they’ve been in years past in Week 8 when they make the trip to Austin.
