Quinn Ewers was picked off on the first drive of the SEC Championship Game for Texas and he was picked off again in the fourth quarter. The first interception didn’t do any damage; Georgia went 3-and-out. The second pick threatened to derail the Longhorns’ SEC title hopes.

Trailing Georgia 16-13 with 3:30 to play, Ewers tried to force a pass to Matthew Golden and was picked off by Daylen Everette.

Texas struggled throughout much of the game on Saturday. The Longhorns had a 170-9 advantage in total yardage in the first quarter and only had a 3-0 lead. They went into the halftime break with a 260-54 advantage in yardage and had just a 6-3 lead.

Texas missed a field goal in the second quarter and then managed a 7-play, 16-yard drive that ended in a punt.

Fortunately for Ewers, Georgia gave the ball right back 3 plays later. With Carson Beck injured on the last play of the second quarter, backup quarterback Gunner Stockton played the entire second half. He was picked off by Jahdae Barron on a third-and-13 pass with 2:30 remaining in the game.
