It’s never a good sign when social media is talking about a college football coach the day after his team lost a bowl game.

Steve Sarkisian is going viral for a pregame outburst ahead of Texas’ loss to Washington in the Alamo Bowl Thursday. Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods.com shared a video of Sarkisian unloading on a staffer who has his hand on the Texas coach to keep the Longhorns from rushing onto the field too early. The unidentified staffer appears working for the bowl game or ESPN.

Just over 2 hours after being posted, the original video now has over 1.3 million views. As one might expect, the response to Sarkisian is mostly negative. Here’s a small sample of what’s being said on Twitter by fans and media members:
Unless there's something I'm missing here or haven't seen, this is incredible loser energy. Don't treat people like that. Guy with the headset is just doing his job. What a weirdo reaction. https://t.co/l7kzFNbndC

Barring an insult about his mother, I don’t really get this reaction as a “leader of men.” https://t.co/Y0ng0uEvXU

Taking “all gas no brakes” to a whole new level
Wtf is this Sark… https://t.co/z9EKgxmfov

Speaking for folks on the game presentation side of this…it's a tough position to be in with any team, 'headset guy' doing his best to do his job here. Can sometimes be like fighting a house fire with a garden hose though… https://t.co/qzGFvMqghI

Did Sark have a right to react? Maybe. Was he justified in reacting to this degree? Absolutely not. I've watched this 20 times and I still don't understand it. https://t.co/S9UcA7cUUN

College football coaches understandably have a short fuse in December. But goodness, Sark. https://t.co/V8GcTQMGuO

It’s on to 2023 for Sark and the Longhorns as they look to leave 2022 in the rearview mirror.
